I ensure the smooth operation of our cloud infrastructure by monitoring and promptly responding to all cloud health issues that could impact customer experiences, both internal and external. Reporting to the Manager of Cloud Operations, I collaborate with teams across the organization to research and troubleshoot issues, from single droplets to cloud-wide disturbances. My day-to-day tasks include ensuring maximum uptime for DigitalOceanâs global infrastructure, automating processes, developing tools to enhance operational efficiency, and coordinating with various teams to address operational challenges and improve the platform with minimal user impact.

I specialized in the implementation and technical support of telecommunication services for both Greek and international telecom organizations. These systems are critical for serving millions of users. My role involved developing and maintaining applications for corporate mobile telephony clients, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the complexities and needs of large-scale telecommunication networks.

At the AUEB Computer Science Laboratories, I was responsible for both systems monitoring and direct communication with end users.
The mission of the AUEB CSLab is to support the Departmentâs educational work and in particular its specialized needs that cannot be effectively met by the Computer Center. It covers exclusively the needs of the Department of Informatics, where tutorials and course labs take place. Software infrastructure (programming environments, databases, network simulators) enables tasks and studies to be performed on different subjects depending on the needs of each course. In this context, the laboratory participates in MSDNAA (Microsoft Software Developers Network Academic Alliance), and also supports the development of applications using Open Source Software such as PHP, MySQL.
